Darcy

Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy was a gentleman living at the turn of the nineteenth century, being the wealthy nephew (on his mother's side) of the Earl of Bakewell. His residence was a stately home near Bakewell ("Lambton") itself, by the name of Pemberley. Darcy's courtship of Elizabeth Bennet was chronicled by Jane Austen in the novel Pride and Prejudice.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Darcy were both present when the Wold Newton Meteorite struck, as revealed by Philip José Farmer in his book Tarzan Alive, which identifies them as the parents of Fitzwilliam Bennet Darcy, and so ancestors of Tarzan. A passage deleted from Doc Savage: His Apocalyptic Life later published in Farmerphile as "Jongor in the Wold Newton Universe" also cites them as the parents of Delhi Darcy, but Win Scott Eckert has argued that she is more likely their granddaughter.
